BMW or Mercedes?

What do you like better, a Benz or a Bimmer?
Just in General...no specific models...just the companies in general...

My vote: BMW!

M5 Ro><oRs your Bo><ors!

If you're gonna get an extreme luxury car BMW is the way to go for me. Although Mercedes makes much better racecars in my opinion.

a lot of people like to refer to bmw's as "drivers cars", well, that is all relative. personally, i think merc's hold a higher 'prestige' factor. also, mercedes styling has always been on-point. a 6 series merc i think kills any 7 series. i mean, cl600, s600.....gorgeous.

as far as performance, price is really the deciding factor. a base, new, m3 is better than any mercedes in its price range, but if you step up to an amg car, like the sl55 amg.....*drool* fuhgedabboutit. no bmw is going to touch that.

Oh yeah- I'd rather drive/own a Bimmer, but I'd rather ride in a Merc. I think that sums it up for most people.

Cool

I woud rasther own a bmw as far as performance goes. The M3 beats the CLK55 AMG in almost every performance area and is also 10k less. i do belive that the S class is MUCH better looking than the 7 series (which i belive is the ugliest car ever from BMW.) The M5 also womps on the E55 and none of the mercedes come with a MT while BMW has a MT version of almost all their cars. The mercedes does have that "bling" factor though and the presitge of riding around in a mercedes so if i wanted a automatic i would take the mercedes

I agree though that mercedes makes better race cars and that the SL55 AMG is one of the prettyst cars on the road

before all the new MB came out, I would go for BMW, but some of the new MB are just so nice!!! but I think MB is alittle bit overpriced, so I would go for BMW

MB are nicer, smoother cars. If I was to drop that kind of coin on a car it would be for luxury, not performance. You can get as much if not more performance for a lot less money than a Bimmer, but it's hard to compare anything else with the ride of a Benz. There's just something about them...
