Anyone know VW bugs?

Not the new ones with the engine on the wrong end being cooled by some foreign substance. The old rear engine cars. Always been curious of them, and I see there are some pretty cheap ones for sale. If you know anything about them or could throw out some things to look for, that would be groovy! I don't know much about them beyond the different front suspensions and such.

they don't do well in the heat and they break a lot.

If you get one, replace everything. The nice thing is they are cheap to fix, and parts are easy to find.

I was running a 2110cc engine in 100+ degree san jose weather using the stock oil cooler with no problems in the heat with any of my aircooled cars.
