Car shaking
Not to sure what section to put this in so if it needs to be moved, please do so...
it snowed yesterday and today i had to really use the AWD in my 2.5i to get out of the parking spot (i had cleaned the car off but the road was complete ice)...i drove for about 2mi on the city streets then jumped on the highway to get to work and as soon as a i hit 60mph the car started to shake violently....well not to the point where it felt like it was going to fall apart but the steering wheel went crazy and i could see the car shaking...
this happened in 4th and 5th gear so i don't think it's a transmission issue but i could be wrong...i was also thinking it might be because my car's hood, roof, trunk and spoiler still had about a ½" of ice still on them...would that just have thrown off the car at that speed?
is there a known issue of this with subie's or did something happen in the 1 day i didn't drive it cause i worked from home?

99% probability this is from snow and/or ice stuck to the inside of the wheels throwing them out of balance. Get in there with your hand or an appropriate tool and knock the stuff off, problem solved.

yeah, the same thing happened to me, as soon as I get over 55mph my car shakes... I had to go on a long drive and my arms were sore afterwards. I banged the snow out, and the drive home felt fine. It is a pretty common problem with cars that have rims in the winter.
