No mate, my wife is British - i moved out there for four years and now I live here. Still own a home in N. London (Mill Hill)
Thanks for the complement. BTW, guys - i just WASTED a Honda Prelude with a turbo kit:
On my normal commute, I usually get all these posers and semi-fast cars trying to race me thinking that I souped up some econobox. I usually pay them no mind, and let them be.
Anyway, i'm driving back home on the hiway, after watching LOTR at the movies when i spot a pair of headlights swapping lanes quickly in my rearview mirror trying to catch up to me.
So I did another lane change, thinking that he's just trying to get home. Nope...he goes into my lane - so i know he's testing me.
I'm getting old but I still a bit of racer's blood, so I give it a bit of gas - he keeps up for a while - that suprised me - can't be a poser. So I throw it into fifth and just hit the gas. In seconds his car is like eight car lengths behind (and he's flogging his car for all that it's worth). Till now I dont know what car i'm dealing with.
Find my exit and and as i slow down to get to the exit ramp, he's in the next lane. Oh a 2000 Honda Prelude! He revs his engine and I hear a tiny psst off his BOV. Figure he's running one of these low pressure turbos, so i rev mine and let off a loud DUMP to let him know he's just been beat by a REAL turbo.
Return home and the rest of the commute is uneventful.
Chalk one up for the Cosworth.

Is it just me or is Ford kinda cool everywhere but here in the States? We don't even get the Mondeo or Ka for God's sake, let alone Cosworths
i know a guy who had a cosworth escort. it was like a 95 or something he just sold it a few months ago. hes thinking of gettin an evo now. he said theres like 4 of them in the states he had it gray marketed into the u.s. via germany by a company name sun something in like orange county. i love the flares and the big *** wing it had(really unique) didnt look rice at all. i think he got rid of it cuz he hit a wall doing like 184mph and hasnt got the speed bug back yet. hmm ohh well. oh it was like a grey metallic color.

I rented an Escort Cosworth in Switzerland back in 1993. Scorched around in that thing for an entire weekend. Terrific and capable cars, especially considering their age.
Christian - The company which does (did?) the US conversions for Escort Cosworths is Sun International Racing. They also federalize new Elises.......with Integra Type-R engines. Nice.
