Car Info: '06 WRX SGM Wagon
I picked up an '06 WRX wagon back in August and I love it. I kept my '04 Accord coupe (4cyl) as my daily commuter and it's a dependable comfortable gas saving machine. On the other hand as the week starts to end I take the wagon to work to spice things up as the weekend approaches. I'll also add that i'm glad I got the WRX wagon instead of the Civic Si as those were the two vehicles I was debating over. The wagon is such a sleeper, and once I get my Cobb AP 2.0 the real fun will begin.

I've recently become a father of 2 and I came from a Civic sedan.

The civic was an awesome car, reliable and practical. Although slow, it was fun to drive (6th gen civic). After LOTS of research, I went with a 06 WRX wagon and am so happy with it I can't believe.

Honda has the best engines; super efficient and reliable. They make power smartly, not with brute force. Unfortunately, brute force is sometimes just the stronger way to go. But still, I'll always hold a place for Honda for their engines.

I required a 5 door car, and Honda completely neglects my niche of market. (The Fit doesn't have enough power for my interest.)

I was worried about leaving Honda/Toyota reliability wise, but so far (and from what I researched) Subaru is very close in quality/reliability (but Honda is still better).

But the point is... I *love* my wrx. The hatchback and 4door body coupled with the turbo engine and AWD. No more torque steer, and that feels really good! MPG is only 23, but I guess that's the price I pay. Handling is just ok and requires at least sway bar modifications.

The WRX wagon is a perfect car for dad's of young kids. It's sort of a family car + midlife crisis rolled into one. Kind of a mixed together wannabe-porche/stationwagon with Japanese reliability.

My first car was a 96 Accord Sedan. It was a really nice car and easy to drive. This car also got me started in the import scene. It had pretty basic mods i.e. lowered, audio system, rims, intake, header, exhaust. looking back it seems dumb that put money into "performance" mods on that car, but i had fun doing it.

Then i watched my first auto-x and realized i needed a faster car. sold the accord, bought my 91 SE-R, then sold it and bought my WRX

I owned a 91 integra gs for 2 years and a 98 civic ex coupe for 2 years...I must say the wrx was a huge improvement in handling, speed, and overall quality from both the integra and civic....however I do miss the 28mpg =P
