I love Honda's. always have, always will. But I will never try to make a honda fast ever again. They are fun project cars, but that's about it. It really doesn't matter to me what kinda of car you drive, as long as it's Japanese ^_^

Honda cars are great, just not great at making power. My 2 cents.
FYI, Honda/Acura is gonna offer a factory turbo in their new RDX...or so they say.

lol, you're right.

the honda vs. subaru question.

the new Civic Si looks to be an appealing option though.

my 2 cents , I bought my subi 3 months ago and sold my 99 integra last month. My opinion on this topic is honda is tops in my book , I made 450 whp with my GSR and the only draw back was low torque #'s and poor handeling at high speed in the twisties. In my opinion my STI takes over where my integra left off.

I have a 00 civic Si, 98 prelude, and an 06 STi. I would have got another honda but they didn't have anything even close to the STi. You might want to take a look at the back seat of an Impreza, they have four doors but the rear seat is pretty small.

I used to own a 95 accord. Had damn near everything i wanted done to it besides fixing the cracked and ripped open sunburnt leather interior. SiR F20, Tein coilovers and bigger swaybars along with some strut braces. My whole goal was to have a somewhat quick car that handled great. The engine I could have done without 'cause the power still wasn't there and I wasn't about to spent another 3 g's for a damn turbo to a car that wasn't meant for speed. The handling was greatly improved though. Then I test drove my 02 dub. I told the guy to polish it and I'd be back for it in the morning. Though I've done some suspension mods and a turbo back, the car gratly outperformed my old accord. Don't get me wrong, there are some very fast hondas and i've driven a couple that have scared the ba-jesus outta me. But those were all toys(NOT RELIABLE). Seriously, the AWD and turbo'd engine of just a stock dub bringsmeaning back to the word FUN. Oh yeah, and the boxer engine sounds f'in sickkkk!!!! Sorry, this was a little long and really went nowhere.

I had a 2000 Civic Si and it was a great car. A lot of things about it were better than my 2004 WRX but not many of them are performance related. Fit and finish, build quality, and powertrain feel were all better. That being said, the WRX is in a different league in terms of performance numbers and features than the new Civic Si.

Have you driven both? The 'vettes only beat it in a straight line and the fit and finish on them is horrendous in comparison. Granted, the newer vettes are a huge improvement over the C5 but the NSX is a pretty sweet ride. Besides, you're comparing Honda's 15 year old product to GM's product that came out two years ago. Compare the C6 Z06 to the V10 ~500 HP NSX revision in a couple years

sinister is now going to complain that you are an idiot and say that you are falling into the trap that honda wants you to think in, that chevy's the best car maker ever, the camaro iroc-z can spin circles around anything, and that your mother is going to die by his hand...or something of that nature.

lol... I would hope not, but there are people who think 1320 feet is the most important thing around. Personally, I'd give my right arm for the new NSX when it comes out. I like the C6 Z06 a lot too, which is hard to say because I wouldn't touch a GM product with a 10 foot pole under normal circumstances.

I used to have an Accord. The fit/finish, impeccable drivetrain smoothness and durability were amazing. When I traded it in for the Impreza it had over 300,000 miles on it and still ran great. Everything else on the car had simply aged to the point of no return, but the motor still purred like a kitten. However, the Subaru is reliable enough for me not to complain about it, and you just can't beat the handling and AWD...

I love my Impreza, but if Honda offered a 2.0L (or bigger), with turbo, AWD, mid-sized sedan, for less than 25k, I'd be all over it in a heartbeat.
