Ever thought of taking the entire time Evo has ran in rallies?? No ok just a thought. That and besides the fact that you said nothing about overall performance of the cars in general. Going fast in a straight line is one thing but right out of the box the STi still chases the Evo around the track.

There's a reason the EVO isn't in the WRC anymore... cuz it's a bucket!!!
I'd love to have an EVO... but I just can't bring myself to buy a Mitsu... Mitsu of america = morons that need to fall into a volcano.

we shall see just how much longer mitsubishi can hold on on its financial woes while subaru sales continue to skyrocket every year.

The torque should be better though. And yes the evo is faster than the STI in most categories. except maybe 0-60, but since you can reach 60 in second on the evo, you save 0.5 seconds on shift time.

The '05 STi seems to be detuned a bit from the '04s.

And all the respect in the world will not create a winning WRC team, as proven by Mitsubishi for the past 3 years!

either way both are good cars it just depends on what you want...however I will say I do see many more STI's than EVO's around here. I've seen 5 evo's here and well at least 3 times as many STI's running around..
Mitsu has been having a few bad years in WRC and have now droped out..Hell did they even run in the ralley japan? I don't remember even if it was on last weekend.. I do agree what matters is what the word is on the street when its driven by the average owner/ auto nut who actually drive them..(unless you own an evo and get your crap voided when the car is used for what it was made for)...
I will say that the subaru design should still have a 2 door in the line up..this 4 door stuff isn't for me.
JspecGC8....nice to see another misawa person..so how do you like J-draw? or are they still playing booty music?...No I'm not there anymore. PM me I need a phone number for someone that works on base.

2.Subaru went through the same thing Mitsu is going through now the only difference is Subaru fixed their problems right the first time where as Mitsu didn't!!!

2.in terms of problems i'd have to say that Subaru has never suffered the tarnish of Mitsubishi. and never has Subaru had a Corporate cover-up(where the president of the company is directly responsible) like Mitsu--->Mitsubishi Problems

oh, and btw, the Forester XT owns the Endeavor!
