That's another way for them to say we don't get all the good stuff. Of course JDM EVO has everything. Then again EDM is even better with the FXs. 340hp and soon a limited 400hp version.

we shall see just how much longer mitsubishi can hold on on its financial woes while subaru sales continue to skyrocket every year.

EVO MR utilitizes a different turbo/camshafts setup. HP should be between 280- 300hp.

As for to prove for supremacy..whats the point of bringing up WRC if the real battle is on the streets?

Needless to say but the final was finished like this EVO, EVO, STi Spec C, Evo, and STi in that order. So really who is on top and who isn't. Subaru went through the same thing Mitsu is going through now the only difference is Subaru fixed their problems right the first time where as Mitsu didn't!!!
When was the last time you checked? I just looked at the 2004 results and they're in last place. 2003 they didn't race and I don't think they're racing next year either.

You must be referring to JDM/EDM MRs? USDM 05 MR will have same hp as any 05 EVOs (276 hp / 286 lb).

Mitsubishis official stance is that they will be back next year. They've dropped out for the rest of this year to save money and develop their car better and be ready for '05.

I guess they pulled out this year because they weren't being competitive so the point is they aren't doing well in WRC. Who knows what will happen by next year either with all of the company's problems.

On the last issue of Rally Magazine, the team manager for Mitsu said they were pulling out of WRC for cost cutting purposes (due to the problems Mitsu is having lately). They will focus on developing the car and testing it and plan to be back next year. But you're right, at this point, they may not be back for years if ever.

How's that USDM 2.5 turbo doing in the WRC, anyway? Oh, that's right, it's too big! LOL

I agree with your comment, btw, just thought I'd bust your chops a little bit. I agree, it is about streetability.

Anyone know how the Evo is selling compared to the STi?

Not sure how EVO is selling compared to the STi. But I see STi more often than EVO for sure.

Is this why we're hearing rumors about an '06 STI maybe different (in apprearance from what we've been seeing so far)? If these rumors are true, I hope it will out do the EVO MR in performance, although the looks is not an ideal fix for me.
