2002 Sub 2.5Rs

I am new to the whole Subaru scene but have wanted one badly for some time now. I finally got this one this past weekend and am totally stoked compared to the car I had before- Nissan Sentra Gxe= VERY SLOW. The only thing is I could not through down enough cash to afford the WRX. So I got the RS instead. From what I understand the new STI come with a 2.5 as well, so I am assuming that there has to be some performance mods that I can do to my RS? Any help would be great.
