I see no reason why you cannot win on a autox course, really you should stomp him if you know how to handle your car.

In a drag with your mods... can you do any quick weight saving mods? I would say you guys should be close since you are going to launch like a mad man or least should be able to and he isnt going to get off the line like you. Just dont miss shift and you guys should be close well he still might get you but not by much.

Anybody have suggestions on cheap mods that could increase his 1/4 miles time?
Short shifter
Get a splitter for your hood scoop(might help a bit)
Remove spare tire
Try and lighten your car as much as possible
Dont have the defrost on :P

Defroster and AC on = fatty turbo lag, at least from what I've experienced. If you wanna save weight, pluck out your shotgun and rear seats too Empty out the trunk and the glove, and fast for the 3 days before the race (okay, maybe that's a little too extreme ) Come to think of it, racing your "friend" would make for an interesting experience. Just don't put money on it

if you are going to install your uppipe, u should d/c the battery so your ecu resets. then from that point on, drive your car like you stole it. then bring it to the track, and i think u have a fair chance to eat him alive.

i dont think u will lose the map, i just think it put it back to "default", but then i haven't really looked into engine management myself so i wouldn't know. but common sense tells me u shouldn't because if for instance your battery in the car dies, u lose all memory i.e. your radio presets and clock but i believe your unichip is a diff case.
