Sinister, think of it like this, if you are a car company are you really going to give a test car to a magazine that isn't going to get some pretty good times out of the car? If you run a car magazine, are you going to hire someone to gather data that makes cars look worse than they are? Bring your buddy with the sub-13 stock STi out to Sac raceway and we'll all take a little trip up there. As for yourself, grow some *****, if you're going to buy a powerful car, race it you pansy.

busted *** 13 second WRX? the 12.9 second STI he mentioned was just that, AN STI! Its funny too, cause the WRX he just recently purchased used, looks stock, but is boosting 18psi as read by a Cobb AP. looking stock doesnt always mean it is stock my friend.

one last thing Sinister, don't go getting up on your high horse just cause your internet fanboi wrx409 is blowing smoke up your ***. Just because youre a 32 year old with an STi doesnt mean you actually KNOW anything

 

MBasile, I always thought that you were smarter than the rest, but here I am ONCE AGAIN repeating myself. I DIDN'T KNOW THE DAMNED DUDE WITH THE STI! HE WAS AT THE TRACK RUNNING, AND I WALKED UP AND ASKED HIM WHAT HE HAD DONE TO HIS CAR. HE SAID IT WAS BONE STOCK. WHEN I QUESTIONED HIM ABOUT IT HE SAID HIS CAR WAS A FACTORY FREAK. HE EVEN POPPED THE HOOD! HE IS NOT MY FRIEND, NEVER WAS MY FRIEND, AND NEVER WILL BE MY FRIEND.

Again, I couldn't care less what my car runs. If someone runs their car with the same mods as mine, I KNOW that my car is going to run within the same vicinity. It doesn't mean that if someone runs 13.0 @ 104 mph that my car is going to run the same, but it's a pretty good chance that it'll run close, whether it be within .1-.2 faster or .1-.2 slower. I already have a car that I run at the track from time to time. As far as I'm concerned, they can hard-launch their car and risk breaking their AWD setup. I'm not willing to chance it just to see how deep into the 13s it will run. I have better things to spend my money on, like a supercharged 383ci that I'm building for my Camaro.

Ah, so since I bought an STi I have to beat the hell out of it? You're an idiot. People buy Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches, etc. and they never see the light of day at a track. I bought the car because I liked it, not because I wanted to race it.

Do I care that his car is running 18psi? Nope. I could go out and build your typical "WRX Hot Rod" or "STi Hot Rod" and throw on a turbo-back exhaust, cold air intake, and upgrade to the Cobb Stage 2 and run right with his 2nd-hand piece of sh*t that probably had $1000s tied into it by its previous owner.

And WOW, just WOW, it's "stock appearing." That sure is cool, isn't it? Not really, considering I know more than a share of people with Mustangs and Camaros that are running in the 10s and 11s that have "stock appearing" cars too. Maybe seeing a 13 second WRX revs your engine, but I don't give them a second glance. 13 second cars are a dime a dozen. If you've seen one 13 second car, you've seen'em all. I have two of'em and sitting in my driveway. They're nothing special.
