Are you looking to get a car in its first model year, and that the body style will stay the same for a while?

If so, I would recomend against the 9-2X. It will be completely redesigned (It will be more Saab-like from the ground up) for the '06 or '07 line.

As for the Impreza, I've heard that '06 model year will introduce a new body style, but I haven't heard anything concrete.

I've also heard that every Subaru will have the new B11S grill by '08 (I don't know if that is actual year or model year). If that is the case, my guess is the '06 Impreza will have the new grill and a new Legacy will be introduced in '08.

The Subaru dates are strictly rumor (as far as I've heard) but the Saab date is pretty well set. They have already started working on a replacement for the 9-2X, one that is rumored to be totally Saab-like from the ground up.

Does anyone have pricing on the Saab 9-2 and 9-2X??

Saab's web site has all sorts of info on the cars but no MSRP that I could see.

I'd *guess* that the Saab will be roughly around the price of the '05 Legacy Turbo. Like 28-32. Smaller turbo engine (2.0L) but luxury accoutrements in line with what a Saab should have. Whatever the prices, if you're looking at the Saab and Legacy Turbo, they'll likely be a price bracket up from the WRX.

This press release states that the 9-2X will start under $25,000 (compared with the Impreza TS which starts at $18,000).

The Aero model will most definitely start higher then that. Since the WRX Wagon starts at $24,000, I would assume that the 9-2X Aero will start around $31,000.

Oh, and just so you know, there is no Saab 9-2, the base model is going to be called the 9-2X. The WRX version will be called the 9-2X Aero.
