hey mynxi
Use your U-Pass and save gas money that way.
I'm using the U-pass and taking the bus now cuz I really need to save money. I still feel uncomfortable on the bus. Oh, the horror stories I could tell...
Ppl sleep and read on the bus. I can do neither because its too uncomfortable (sitting or standing), and reading makes me bus-sick (oddly enough, I don't get car sick easily).

gas money is quite a bit. about $40 a week. one full tank could get me 450-500kms.
there are jobs in richmond probably, but the asian attitude is kinda... especially in servicing... even tho i'm asian myself... hmm.
well, i'll need to take the bus soon anyway. i wont have my parking pass no more since i borrowed it from a friend.

For my carpool, even with weird schedules, we ended up carpooling. We just ended up waiting for each other (if it wasn't too long).
The weird thing about the U-pass is that there were 15 rideshare spots LEFT since the U-pass was introduced. All other parking lots were still sold out as usual. U-pass = less cars? A little bit.
Wish I could join your UBC carpools, but I'm at SFU.
