As in CCW licenses? I was under the impression that only politicians could get away with having a valid enough reason in Commifornia to get approved for that...

You need to follow both the BSIS (state) laws and the local laws for carrying concealed weapons.

PI Faqs - need to work for a PI or in investigative services for 3 years before applying for license, here is a useful FAQ if you want to know the general rules:

From another board in response to my post:

I did a quick search just to see what's out there on the internet and I see that there's a B______ who uses the names clan_______, b______g (note, using the "g"), q_____o, and xxx. These various "people" have photos floating on the web and they're all the same person (and this person has a myspace page that fits your description), so I guess they're all him.

On the myspace page, he claims to be a member of a fraternity which, it turns out, is a criminal justice fraternity at the local state university he claims to have gone to and have graduated from in 2000. He says he's 25 now, says he's a Security Consultant, and says he gets paid $75-100k/year. That about sounds like the person you're describing...

Heh... he misspelled his degree. He wrote Sociology / Criminalogy. The actual degree is BA - Sociology, Concentration in Criminology.

Oh, btw, not that it means much, but the Office of Communications and Public Affairs at his claimed school will grant any requests to have names removed from the commencement program, so if B wanted to make tracing himself harder (something many people in law enforcement do), he theoretically could have followed that path, which would explain his name's absence.

He seems pretty active on the dating boards, at least, which is a pretty good indicator that he didn't do any name-removal type thing.

Anyway, isn't it fun to sleuth these things out?
