are you 1. a programmer 2. a stoner

http://www.leafly.com/api/documentation

This is ridiculous. Words cannot describe. This site is tight as hell already, web 2.0 style website for weed strains. But it has an API?

From Twitter: "Shockingly well-built website/community considering the subject matter; are all the best developers smoking weed?"

Some of the most creative pieces of art (including music) have been created by someone under the influence of something. Drugs are bad for you, but can do some amazing things like tapping the natural talent of unique individuals.

The umbrella term of "stoner" makes pot smokers sound so bad or grubby. It's upsetting because I know so many good/intelligent people who smoke pot.

I fail to understand why this is surprising. In my experience, pot settles my mind and body down long enough to work on more complex tasks. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with my current job...regardless of the fast that I would be completely sober AT work :|

Examining leaf.ly a little closer and the layout is well thought out. Could use a little more snazziness in the graphics dept. The reviews are RETARDED though. I suppose it's the lack of reviews and a reviewing guide/netiquette, I mean who the hell gives A10 (a potent indica) "high" (hehe) Energetic scores?

EDIT: Thinking about it more, and the potential for this site is def. there. If it could be a catalog/ archival database as well, I'd use it all the time. Well, that is if I still smoked.

I'd prefer some actual scientific study of the strains, as opposed to subjective stoner reviews. But hey, I guess it's a start!

There is currently no reliable way to (empirically) accurately measure and/or predict the effects of marijuana on individuals. The only publicly accepted guideline is a measurement of the concentration of THC molecules in relation to the rest of the plant matter, expressed as a percentage. Keep in mind this test is neither cheap, easy, or accurately representative of the effect of a given sample.

Marijuana gives you the ingenuity, whiskey gives you motivation.
