Just got back from YFA Stage 1 Handgun at Reeds Indoor Range
Gotta say, I've done quite a few firearms classes, and this was the best.
If you have the chance, take a class from Mr Awerbuck
more to follow

Any more info on what they had you do?
Off hand shooting? Stuff like that?

This was the stage 1 class, so no off hand work. That stuff comes in the later classes (you have to do classes in order).
Focus was solving marksmanship issues, holster work, dealing the up close and mid-range threats, speed and tactical reloads. Quite a bit of emphasis on head shots and multiple round engagements.
The morning 8:30-noon was classroom, going over technique, tactics, and problem solving. 1-6 was all range work.
The instructor, Louis Awerbuck is considered one of the top firearms trainers in the world, and it shows. Very knowledgeable, but also very genuine and made the class fun.
Stage II is a 2 day class that gets into much more advanced techniques. Def plan on taking Stage II myself.

I work right up the street from Reeds
Took the HSC there and am currently looking for a pistol. Most likely will be taking stage one sometime in a few months here too.

I don't actually know what AAR means...
One on One instruction was pretty solid. I'm a pretty solid shooter so I didn't need a ton of one on one time, but certainly felt like I got it whenever I was having trouble (and a few times that I didn't realize I was).
I wish the class was a little smaller, this one had 13 in it. But that's on Reed's, not YFA.
