Yay fraud
Haha, my grandmother had the same thing happen to her like last week I believe. Funny thing was she blamed me and my little brothers. Well at least I have proof it was neither of us now.
I hear a popular way of stealing CC#'s is restaurants. There was a big sting in SanJo eatery a few years back where nearly EVERY server was stealing #'s.
They weren't even using them themselves, some guy was collecting them for like 5$ per CC#. Bastards

I guess it could be if your doing 10-20 tables a day, 5 days a week
It's called "skimming" and here's where some guy attached a skimmer to the ATM machine at a Gas Station in San Jo:

You got lucky. My mom had her purse stolen. AmEx card inside. The thieves bought a LOT of stuff before they were caught. Two motorcycles, clothes, jewelry, etc. They were a white-trash couple living in a trailer. They're now comfy in cells. My mom has had to deal with the repercussions for years, though.
Hurray, it's Ian!!
