I think in this case, the shortage is intentional... "free publicity". Wasn't the case with PS2... it was announced days ahead of time, and Chairman of Sony wasn't on hand to take photos while handing away a ps2 to be sold.

So reselling plans will have to move quick, because I'm certain the stock or replenishing capacity can be brought to bear on the market in short order, certainly for the holiday season... they wont be dumb enough to make all this hoopla and push to specifically make the Thanksgiving shopping season and NOT have enough units... that's just imho =x
