they keep telling people there will be a shortage. I know a lot of the places are presold out...then they do those lotery deals.

I know that game stop in gilroy for example is sold out.

I have been half tempted to order one under my name and one under my girlfriends just to sell them on Ebay or craigslist. I have no desire to own one myself. Not impressed. Shoot in the few times I've been hanging out at gamestop in the last couple weeks I've seen person after person canceling their orders.

So me...personally...I doubt I'll pick one up. I don't think the shortage is real. If it is it will very much be temporary and only by the choice of xbox to try to create hype.

The PS3 is giong to own the xbox. I'll wait.

i waited in line for half the night with it raining to get my ps2 and im willing and down to do it again for ps3...

its the only damn thing id weather in line for

 

my friend works at eb games at southland mall.. he aid there are 24 pre-orders, and the store is only getting 10 360s.. and basically everyone else is SOL until next year.. How ****ty is that?

fwiw, i'm waiting for the new nintendo system

 

It may have something to do with the $400 price tag, too. I'm curious to see what happens tomorrow.

I think some of my friends went there last night to wait in line, haha. So if there at school, they probably couldnt get one. We shall see.

4th and 5th in line at my local toys r us and got one. Unfortunatly they only had the core system, not the pro one.

How early did you have to be there to do that?

I stopped by two places but they only had an allotment of 14 (7 of each I think) and they were all gone. Target handed out tags to earlybirds in line outside.

I hope Microshaft comes out with a black or green xbox360, because that white thing will stick out like a sore D--- in my entertainment center.

 

From what I read, it's not 100% backwards compatible right? If it's not, Microsoft is just stupid (not like people didn't already know that)

 

My friend and I got there at 5 AM. I work at best buy, and knew people would be showing up super early. I wasn't willing to wait 14+ hours for a high def xbox.

The system is only backwards compatable with about 25% of the games, or so I've heard.

 

yeah, not all games will work on the new xbox. i read in the newspaper, the reason is because of the switch to an IBM processor from the Intel one.

 

Hey guys... if anyone wants one, they may still have some left at the Fremont Costco.

My buddy said they were getting 150 of them, and many of the other bay area costcos didn't get any.
