The hardware specs on this thing is pretty amazing we'll have to see how it plays out vs. PS3 when they are released.

Is that a slightly biased position? Take GTA series. Rockstar was in contract with PS for both GTA3 and Vice City once they were out of contract a release came for the Box. The Box version was way better in terms of graphics, more comtent, faster loading. Nuff said.

yeh word.. I heard the new xbox system MIGHT not be backwards compatible with the older xbox becuase of the graphics card change from nVidia --> ATi. Personaly I like the nvidia chips better, but we'll just have to see.

what good is graphics and fast load times if there arent many good games for the system?
blue burr is right. ps2 >>> xbox in terms of games. sure, xbox had better hardware, but its all about the software. Final Fantasy series, Katamarai Damacy, Ratchet & Clank series, Disgaia, Phantom Brave (actually, ALL ATLUS rpgs), Tekken series, Gran Turismo series, Idol Mah Jong are all playstation exclusives. Metal Gear and GTA games come out 1st on playstaion as well. these are all EPIC games and i'm not even touching the surface. its just too early in hte morning for me to remember the others.
I have both systems and the only xbox games that i thought were tite are the DOA Ultimate, DOA volleyball, and the Splinter Cell games. with my gamefly account, i've been trying HARD to find good xbox games, but I have pretty much given up and have regulated my xbox as a anime media server.
there are probably 15 awesome ps2 games to every 1 awesome xbox game
as for the new systems. the past doesnt matter. whoever has the best software will win.

xbox is gonna kill the ps3 if they can manage to get MORE games.
Sony just has more games and for the most part better games.
I'm a madden head and I dont' like madden on xbox..that might decide it for me. But the hard drive issue and the dvd issue as well as size plays part as well.
Pretty much...the games....the new xbox control looks like they finally are pullin their heads out the old ones were terrible.

woohoo (sarcastic) you guys need to understand what cell processors are first before you even think of making xbox 360 sound like the l33test.
1 cell processor running at 3.2ghz= 8 processors running at 3.2ghz
oh yah...... and the ps3 has 2 of these...........

yah i know what TIA means now..... and i only brought up the cell processor thing in an arrogant tone because no one is giving the ps3 any credit. All i have been hearing from all my friends and people on the internet is how they think the xbox 360 seems far superior, when its not
