That sucks Pete. Too bad you didn't get it on video to give to the police (like they would do anything anyway.

if you do anything like that, make sure:

1. there are NO witnesses.
2. when you catch them, THEY start the fight. you are just defending yourself.
3. if there are witnesses, make sure you yell really loud, "STOP AND DROP YOUR <INSERT THE BAD GUY'S WEAPON>... I'M CALLING THE POLICE" before you help the guy up from "tripping" on the ground, breaking a ribs and a few teeth...

LOL, good bit of information Thanks.....

when you go to court, you won't get in trouble for beating on a guy that busted your car.... you can always say that you felt threatened by him or that he was evading citizen arrest....
I would never even consider hesitating to beat the **** out of someone that damaged my car.... but that's just me

btw... If you carry a bat in your trunk... you should put a mit and ball in there too... otherwise, it's illegal.

if you have a gun in your trunk, make sure you have the paper with the guy and target thingy on him,...(target practice paper hehe) in the trunk too... that and if you have poisonous darts, make sure you have the dart board too!

Sorry to hear about that Pete. Probably some junko hanging out at Aquatic Park...or one of those hardcore gangsters from berkeley.

Let me know if you need the contact info for the guy who did the windshield replacement group buy.

I know how to run, but there are guys in my hood who pack heat and well, my weaponry wasn't readily accesible, so I chose rather to call the guys who get paid to confront thugs.

And like other have pointed out, here in Kalifornia you can get in more trouble fighting crime by yourself than the crime was causing in the first place.

For me, losing a window isn't worth getting stabbed or shot, and like I said, nothing in the car was even worth busting the window.

Well shoot. I guess I'll say it since no one else will. You did the right thing. You know your neighborhood, yourself and the situation. You made a wise and educate decision.

me on the otherhand...am not so wise. I go nutso when people mess with my car.

I wouldn't go reporting it to the insurance company. What window was it? I have a wagon window sitting in my closet. tinted too..haa.
