The site's since gone back up (used to be a banner threatening to hunt the owner of this WRX down)... background on the car:

The car has been like this for almost a year and a half. This guy basically stole Tim Switzer's shop funds to build his personal car and then left Switzer with a lot of debt. He tried to sell it on Nasioc but because people knew the car was stolen, did not purchase it.

But it is a pretty sick car... it is a shame it wasn't been completed.

Purple is one of the slowest colors. Too bad.

 

I think the last page pretty much summarized the whole thing... damn, what an ***! So what's the latest between that guy and Switzer?

 

I dunno. I hope the best though, since Switzer I think tunes Porsches and Ferraris now (he was making a 996tt turbo kit last I heard) I mean the car business is really tough. People screwed over all the time, and as with other independent trade skills you don't have anything for retirement. Unlike painters or electricians who might build up their resume to take a million dollar job to retire on, mechanics got it bad...

 

It's too bad GST is not into drag (racing) or I am sure they could turn this car into an ESX and AMS killa!












PS I have yet to see a private WRX/STi drag build go well in my 3 years of paying attention...
