Go to FLI or LIC like everyone else has said.

Prestige is a pill of **** . Hansel auto group as a whole is a POS. When they don't allow you to test drive a WRX when you drive in in a WRX they can go die. Also when they offer you 6k for your trade in and won't budge but the next day you get 10 from another dealer....

Timing belt service should include the following:

1. Timing belt.
2. Tensioner.
3. All 4 idlers.
4. Water pump.
5. Reseal oil pump
6. Cam & crank shaft seals.
7. Thermostat & coolant.

And, yes, $1600 is about $600 too much.

It's a cold weather start up issue, Subaru got the NTSC to deem it a non-safety issue (so I'm guessing it wont low your car up ) but it smells horrible

I keep my HVAC set to recirculate while the car is warming up, and that keeps the smell out of the cabin

Also my AC isn't even turning on so I figure since you guys are down there check it out. Well, finally the subaru rep calls me back and quotes me ALMOST $3600!!! WTF!?

Timing belt - $1600
105,000 service?? - $300
VALVE ADJUSTMENT????- $800
A/C diagnosis - $200
RAW FUEL LEAK THAT SHOULD BE FREE - $700

Um does this sound right...
any suggestions/opinions i'm flat broke right now...
Sounds like what they do when the income is drying up. They aren't doing so well, as evidenced by the layoffs - and have to make money somehow. The flagship store is the one keeping the rest of the losers in business.

My opinion:

1. LIC Motorsports
2. LIC Motorsports
3. PJ'S Automotive
4. FLI
...
10,000 Prestige Imports

In that order - and no, there's no typo.

You are already up around Santa Rosa, I would go to LIC. Great guys up there and won't screw you over looking for other problems.

Funny, my '02 never has had the raw fuel smell. Guess I got lucky.

Prestige is a giant rip off.. Personally I vote LIC. I've called countless times to ask them questions about cars I'm trying to buy or just stupid debates I'm having with friends about how stuff works and they have taken the time to answer the questions every time.

wondered why i didnt see you the last time i was in there for a warranty issue last friday. After they were done, drove down to LIC and had an oil change done there...well worth the drive. the service advisor Tim wears a members only jacket which makes that the only reason to go there. Like they all said LIC.

You might want to give the fellas down at Auto Head Quarter a call too, they have some very reasonable prices there from what I hear.
