I bought my base model '08 RX-8 for $27K out the door. They're not overpriced especially if you skip all the fancy schmancy stuff like leather, sun roof, sat/nav, etc. The base model is a great car.

I like the MS3 (looks fun, never driven one) but the fact that it's front wheel drive really turns me off from a buying perspective. Give me AWD or RWD any day over FWD. My 2 cents.

my friend has an ms3 and he pulled on me in 2/3..but he wont really ever push it hard on anything else because he said theres no traction, especially in first gear

Uh, rx8 is pretty whack in my opinion. I raced one in my scion xB the box one and uh he was actually going at it. and i kept up with it? yeah.. just my fft

I had a MSP (Mazdaspeed Protege) and it was freakin awesome. That was by far the best handling car I had ever driven. Better balanced than an S2000, sharper turn in than my WRX and more composed than my Miata. Add in some power, some Traction control and a hatch and I think you have an amazing car.
I did miss AWD, though.
