wrx vs mazdaspeed 3

wow this is crazy i test drove both cars today and it feels like the speed3 is a little faster then the wrx, i was trying to trade in my 2002 rs and finance a car..I love subaru, but the speed3 was nice too, guess it just depends on the driver.. tough call

My buddy has the hatch and it drives great, but I feel like I'm driving a minivan. It feels HUGE. A tranny that doesn't suck is a nice perk though.

I'll take 2.

Personally, I'd rather have the speed 3. Better interior, moar power, not as flashy. Too bad it was new, and therefore out of my price range when I bought my wrx in 2006.

It's a pretty quick car, and probably one of the best fwd handling cars of all time, until it breaks down on you after 5 miles.

Can't say I'd go back to FWD after driving AWD. But it's up to every individual. On the other hand, the ms3 does look pretty good.

Huh? I drive my wife's 3 all the time, and I can promise you it doesn't feel bigger than an Impreza to a normal person.

65,000 trouble-free miles on ours. Not an MS3 though, just the 2.3 liter. I'd still bet that the people whining about broken turbo 3s are the ones modding them too far, same as with Subarus.

The RX8 isn't fast unless you're not going in a straight line. I've never been in a car that turns in sharper or carries more speed through a given corner in stock form.
