Question WRX trade in value?

Yo guys I’m thinking of upgrading my wrx in the next few months and was wondering what everyone else got for trading in their wrx.

I have a 2003 wrx with around 19500 miles. Only had it for 13 months now.

I’m waiting for more information to come out about any new cars before I make a decision. I also want to see if Mitsubishi makes any little changes to the Evo. So far I only have three cars on my list that is the Sti, Evo or ?.

Please put down the year and mileage of your wrx and how much you got for it.

If you don’t want to post it then just pm me.

Thanks
Phillip

ha ha I'm in the same situation.

I'll prolly be getting an STi by mid August next year.

My WRX is leased, and currently has 1.5yrs left on the 36 month term.

I'll buy my STi (Emma decided we weren't possibly getting an EVO!) from whoever hooks up the best deal, and does us best on trade-in on our pristine WRX...

Thanks daveed and Daredevil

It looks like you get the best 'Trade-in value' for your car after its 2-3 years old. Maybe I’ll try to sale it privately.

actually I'm waiting because I will be due for a few pay raises by next August, and because for almost the next year we could stand to save a few $$$.

We also decided that we could stand to keep the WRX, which we've had tranny problems with, as long as it's under warranty.

It's always best to not trade-in or even privately sell your car until 2yrs afterwards, as it has its greatest depreciation in its first year.

If you prefer selling privately, g'head. I used to sell new & used cars, and I know how to work salespeople & their managers. I prefer to detail my car once, and then just trade her in, much less stress for me to deal with.

I hope this helps,

David
