Wow you pulled that incredibly long run-on...essay...straight out of your ***. So much fail, but a couple highlights:

Subaru in WRC again? You must have some first hand production info everyone in the WRC world is lacking. And with the coupe? Seriously?

Boxers are pretty much excluded according the new WRC regs

Turbocharged AND supercharged engine? Ever heard of anit-lag?

Right or wrong, PLEASE trade in your STi for a Fiesta and go Ken Block style in a parking lot.

Yeah I was just curious. So topgear and another site put up articles just recently saying the subaru is going to cost 5k more and be 295 hp. Of course we don't really know, but it's enough to make me think the powertrain details aren't really known yet.

I believe Subaru has talked about the BRZ being N/A. Depending on how well the BRZ does, Subaru is open to offering AWD and a turbo motor later on.

First off, it's all facts pulled from car mag/online articles i've already read, not my *** dummy. Do you see anything other than coupes (2dr hatchbacks) competing in the WRC right now, NO! Search hard & open your ****ing eyes before you speak, why would i make all this sh*t up, duh.

Second, they stated that Subaru most likely WILL return to the WRC in the all-new STi, hence it only having the 1.6L 4cyl motor, they need to make a certain number of street versions for homologation purposes. Why else would they switch from a 2.5L, once again duh.

Who said boxer motors are excluded from WRC, the architecture don't matter, just the size (liters) which is now regulated to 1.6 only.

They said it being possibly twincharged, i was just relaying the info. Anti-lag on a street car, yeah right. That sh*t ****s up motors & is illegal, 'nuff said.

And about the Fiesta WRC, if the new STi coming up even remotely looks & goes like that, i know everyone, including you, will be jumping on the bandwagon, or else you wouldn't even like Sti products. More rally, less luxury imho.

This comment in no way relates to the direct conversation and is NOT a reflection of a plan that Subaru may or may not have...

That said...

Twin-charged motors are nothing new. Every heard of GrpB? Lancia Delta S4? Sure it goes back further than that, but it's just an example. Flat torque curve for the winning.

If you are going to "prove" me wrong the post some actual FACTS. You might also try listing some supporting data such as: Sections of the WRC rule book, links to articles that are from a verified source inside of Subaru, biographical data such as magazine page, author, issue number, or other "nonsense" such as that.

"Facts pulled from car mag/online articles i've already read" might as well have been statements pulled from your *** without the links and biographical data to support them. And to assume that everything (or anything) you read in a magazine is "fact" is naive as best, and quite possibly stupid at worst. Publishers need to sell magazines bud, and sensationalist news is not exactly a new concept.

So go ahead and prove me wrong. Please link us to these articles, quotes, interviews, or your personal conversations with Subaru execs that state how the new coupe is Subaru's ticket back into the WRC.

HOW could I miss a random article pulled from the ***** of the internet?? OMG it speculates about a 1.6L motor "the 2014 WRX will likely feature a 1.6L turbocharged boxer" and says WRC linked road rager!! Add on top a RENDERING from MOTOR TREND...the most reliable source on the planet!!!

OMG SUBARU IS REENTERING WRC!!11!11!!!!!1!

If it is not a press release, it is speculation...and probably bull****. Hmm, I wonder if WRC.com has a press release from Subaru in their news section...

Actually, Mini is competing in WRC again. They're using the Mini Cooper Contryman, a 4 door. World Rally Championship - Drivers & Teams - Teams - MINI World Rally Team
