This hard to believe and even harder to read. Cosworth can't be happy.

Says that its based off of the impreza not selling well, so the wrx and sti are going too..its not like they are keeping the base model and only getting rid of the wrx/sti

That won't happen here

A comment from jalopnik

One key point missing from this article is that Subaru UK is an independent company with no ties (other than buying products) to Subaru North America or Fuji Heavy in Japan. As such, they can do whatever the hell they want. It has ZERO impact on Subaru globally.

The Impeza, WRX, and STI sell well here so I don't see that happening.

Damn Brits don't know a quality car when they see it! Subaru's probably look like monster trucks over there on those tiny roads.

Those 2 cars aren't even in the same price range. My lady just got a new F30 335i and that thing was pushing $60k with a few options packages. It's a great car though, definitely feels more refined than the E90.

The value of the dollar is weak and the increasing cost of materials is making everything more expensive. Like Lurk said, the price range for both are greatly different still.

Yeah an sti is like $40k max...335 is 60k...

Don't know how that can be considered a better buy...

Id rather have an sti and 20k in my pocket than a 335i

The brits are pretty well respected for r&D on performance parts/cars as well as racing in general. I think this could overall hurt the development of the sti in the us, aftermarket wise.

They should start selling the cosworth sti's over here!
