Sorry to come so late to this thread, but I thought I would point this out since I'm not sure anyone else caught it...
Didn't he "lose" his phone...

Now I'm left with a MPJ tab of $400 and worst my car is in their garage without a working tranny. opinons?? And I think I do have a solid case if I do take it the LAW but i really dont want to that to Austin.

I think this is a good lesson for everyone. If you buy something from someone on the boards take the time to make a receipt. Confirmed that the seller is legit and hes not selling a POS item. I've learned my lesson and I'm sure Austin has. I just wouldve wished I learned it before I met him so I'd be +$400.
Now if someone has a "working tranny" I would love to buy it. I just really cant deal with Subaru dealerships and buy a $4000 tranny.

I'm no lawyer but it looks like you have a good case.
Didn't you say your dad's a lawyer, even though you can't use lawyers in small claims, he should be able to advise you of what to do.
It's people like this (wrxrush) that make the world suck!

How convenient. you lose the phone when someone is trying to get their money back, then find it when you need it to save yourself.
