WRX e-bay "Serive Manual"
The full paper back service manuals cost around $300 I think.
I was thinking of get a *backup*
copy from e-bay. Just wondering about the quality of these if anyone out there has one.

CD
I actually sell these on ebay, I've sold over 125. I actually have all the factory manuals so I had them scanned and converted into adobe format and put on a cd. The ones I sell are totally awesome and come complete with winzip and Adobe Acrobat on the CD. Email me if you want one ( angel_diaz55@hotmail.com), they are just $10. I take Paypal, you can send it to my email address. Oh yeah, check my feedback on ebay, my ID is 1fstrex.
Thanks

ummm no offense, but this aint legit.
scanning a copyrighted work such as the paper factory manual and then selling them, is illegal...
do the right thing, pay for a 3 day access fee to techinfo.subaru.com. cost $20.
then download all the info your can handle. at www.imperszawrxsti.com, some dude started a project there and someone else wrote a download script to handle just about everything STi.
i got my 3 day access and got all the stuff needed.
btw, everything and anything subaru is there too!
oh i forgot, everything on that site is a PDF format, straight from the document maker's themselves...

Right...
Actually, many, many people have these on CD, we did a mass distrubution at UCKK twice. There was no money involved other than the possible reimbursment for the CD-Rs used by a few members. So, you might just ask, and someone will copy the CD for you. NO illegal sales involved.

sorry, let me rephrase. what i meant by legit was that it is a soft copy of the actual books, and exactly what i needed to save myself $300 bucks. is it illegal? yes. but so is your anti-cat-pup-ipe, i mean catless uppipe.

Service Manuals
I was just wondering, what do you do when there's an update to the service manual? I've seen shop manuals at dealerships with stickers in them saying that the pages have been revised. If you have a CD copy of the manual, how do you know it's the right information?
Just wondering...

(Not that I care, but I love pointing out when people mistake numbnut thinking for good logical ideas...)
What cracks me up is the idea that "backup only, you must already own them logic" doesn't make this any more legal. If you call up Subaru to order or go to the dealership to order a "backup copy" of your manual, guess what? Yer gonna pay the same price you paid for the original set. Unless permission is some how expressed, Subaru has the only right to copy, sell or distribute or authorize use.
Is it more or less legal than a catless uppipe? No. Is it more or less legal than murder? No.
Think before you think
