Retailer Torrid is carving out a niche that fits -- in the plus-sized market. The company sells sexy clothes for large young women in more than 50 stores across the country.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Torrid has everything from camisole-and-thong lingerie sets to belly-button revealing T-shirts. CEO Betsy McLaughlin said her customers want to be sexy and feminine -- in sizes from 12-26.

Even Torrid's logo makeover sends the message. The typeface has gone from skinny and jagged to pink and rounded.
I hate when women dress like this. I'm carrying a few extra pounds, and wearing clothes slightly baggy look BETTER than tight clothes. Tight clothes revealing teh fatness = BAD.

i've seen that store at valley fair in santa clara. from the outside it looks like a hot topic for larger sized women. i personally don't have a problem with them wearing thongs, or sexy clothing so long as nothing is too tight to the point where children's eyes need to be covered (this opinion holds through for all people of any size, women and men).

as far as thongs go, they really do serve a purpose. contrary to popular belief, they are not made to peak-a-boo out of the top of our pants when we bend over, but to prevent panty lines. if you think about it, wouldn't you rather just see a large butt, instead of a large butt with indentations running along the hip from panties?
