sorry, couldn't help it.

and daredevil, yes i think a nice swift punch directly to the larynx would work nicely in that situation.

What the hell indeed

Ok, I'm gonna clear this up because the truth needs to be known!
I am the guy that witnessed the whole thing. I was on my way back from the airport and this kid comes out of no where in his STi and cuts me off. Mind you I am driving the Shuttle for my job that I work for at the time and have guests in the van with me. He bairly misses me and scares the **** out of the guests in the van. Also important to note, I was going about 45, he took off to atleast 75.

He then proceeds to cut off a couple more cars and ends up in the right most lane on De Anza Blvd. Then he cut all the way across 4 lanes (yes 4 lanes!) to get in the left turn lane (no blinker mind you!) the whole time doing atleast 60.

I came into the left turn lane just to see that he had slammed into the back of an accord.

And just so you know, I don't feel any bit sorry for you. You got what you deserved and quite frankly it made my day! Punk kids like you shouldn't be driving 30,000 dollar cars! Kids like you don't know how to handle an STi. I can't believe you had the odacity to say that the lady in the accord was being stupid by not running the yellow light. Why would I make this up? the whole thing went down at around 3:30.

Am I mad? Hell yes! not only did you cut me off but you made me miss my light! Seeing the smoke come out of your hoodscoop made up for all that though, so thanks! I only hope I can bear witness to your next crash in your new 30,000 dollar replacement car that your parents get you.

You took the risk and paid the price.
Nobody should feel sorry for you.

I'm curious - this is your first post as an i-Club member. How did you know to look on the boards for this story? It's not something that would make the evening news.

In this case im going to say that i would be disappointed in this kid because he was abusing a gift that was given to him and put other peoples lives in danger. Im 18 and own a 2004 WRX. I make the payments but my mom helps me out. It doesnt really matter who bought the car i guess just how you view it. I love the speed i get off my car but i never get to use it because i realize that my car has more hp for street driving than i can use. Here you clearly see what lots of hp + impulsive driver can do. I mean i'll admit we've all had our impulses but easily can distinguish between when you can get away with it and when you cant. My only hope for this kid is that he sees that and when he gets another STI or whatever he goes about being a little more responisble for it. Sorry to come down on you kid but i guess most of us are here to help in some way.

i dont like watching kids younger than me driving cars that are better than the cars my parents drive after working their whole lives.
i don't think this is the point here...let's not make this into a "bitter old people hating on young kids with nice cars" thread.

the point of this thread is that the driver of the STi, according to an eyewitness account, drove wrecklessly and therefore caused an accident.

my take on this is regardless of whether he was speeding or not, he did cause the accident and it is his fault. to come on here blaming the accord for braking on a yellow light is just pathetic. he gets very little sympathy from me. i only hope that the lady is alright....whiplashes are no fun.
