Five time WRC champion Sebastien Loeb has spoken out against an S2000 WRC, saying he won't be interested in rallying if the 2010 regs actually take effect.

That better make them stop this nonsense. WRC is fine the way it is!

Doubt it, if it does take place most of these manufacturer's will probably just look into other sanctioning bodies such as the IRC. This could be great news for the IRC.

Actually I think Seb moving on is the best thing that can happen to WRC, too bad they need to destroy the series to make that happen.

I kind of agree. After Gronholm left there wasn't much competition, and Mikko just couldn't keep up. Although, Seb was a badass driver and had a great team behind him.

I think he's had a lot of non-dirt track time (IIRC, participating in a 24 hour lemans?), and he was much quicker on tarmac in rallies. I think it'd be great if he could have a smooth transition between the two.
