WRC Catalunya (Spain) televised Sun 26-October

I thought s*******y would post a reminder, but he must be resetting all the clocks in his house for the time change (one hour back).

At 6:00pm Speed Channel will show 120 minutes of the World Rally Championship from Catalunya in Spain. I briefly visited the official WRC site and saw a pic of the probable winner celebrating so if you don't want to know any spoilers, don't visit that site!

I don't think we get Speed on our basic digital cable in Davis, might be different elsewhere, it's only good for the WRC coverage though.

I don't have digital cable, just basic cable through the much-maligned Comcast in Sacramento. I don't really want to pay for digital if I get most of the channels I want from Comcast's basic cable. I also watch F1 on Speed. I wish I got TechTV, but I don't. My friend in Nevada also gets Speed on satellite but he's got 300+ channels.

i get speed via DirectTV, with whom i have precisely ZERO complaints. it's also good if you like watching MotoGP, World Superbikes, Australian V8 supercars, etc. and yes, i tend to record it on TiVo...

ever since i bought my TiVo, i've been trying to figure out how to hack the damn thing so that i can transfer video from it to my iMac. TiVo runs linux, so getting it connected to an ethernet interface shouldn't be too hard (i used to be a UNIX admin, so that's the easy part). the problem really comes down to file formats, and facilitating the file transfer between the two machines.
