I can't belive no one ever posts up about HWY 25 from holister to Coalinga. If you wanna have some fun. This is where you need to be. Just be very careful of the blind decrerasing right shortly after the twisties begin.

yeah have read about 25 on pashnit. but as for metcalf i think its more fun to drive it from the 101 side, because its more fun to do a hill climb plus i dont like to wear out my breaks going down thoes steep turns

Hill climbs are fun. I'm sure you've driven the back side of Hammy before. Mines rd. The total trip as you leave Hollister to Coalinga is 78 miles. There are stretches of twisties that are amazing, straights that are long and really really fast. Hill climbs, decents. It's really bad ***. Make a day of it. You won't regret it.

yeah metcalf is right around my area and fun. Be careful though, bicyclists + narrow roads = not good.

Seems like all the windy roads in the bay area are full of bicyclists. I know thats true for ...all the windy roads I've been on.

Just becareful out there. There are quite a few cops that go up there now. Metcalf is a good road and it hits with San Felipe and that drops you right in to EVC.

metcalf road has rangers going back and forth from the dirtbike park, plus just because its in the mountains, dont go up there unless you want trouble, or unless your car is invisable.

Wow, you just figured out about Metcalf. I did some work there at Pratt & Whitney where they build the rocket boosters for the space shuttle and drag cars several years ago. The hillside isn't as good as the country side driving back into San Felipe. Yeah, it is a fun drive
