Werd. I'd rather have Vincent Jackson. He's spotty but at least he's got heart.

There are some serious free agents at WR this year. Options are there.

The niners need to decide if they're going to sign they're own free agents this year first. I know Alex and Carlos Rodgers are both free agents this year and both need to be signed.

Yes considering most of these people are gonna sign similar contracts to what they already have and some of them can be backloaded so they may even be cheaper... like Alex Smith And Ted Ginn.

I don't know if Morgan is a guaranteed resign. That money could go towards a top flight WR. The niners are loaded with guys that are solid 3/4/5 range receivers. If you keep Ginn, he's your slot guy so you don't really need Morgan. Crabtree becomes your two and the new guy is your one.

Goldston is a for sure resign though.

Swain is a cheap sign and a good roster fill. If they don't keep Ginn then they need to work el fumble HARD in his decision making. He's already shown he can make plays. Just needs to make better decisions.

I think the money is there for a really good WR... especially if it's some one like Colston or Robinson. Neither of those guys are number guys on their teams. Colston has shown he can be and I believe that Robinson will be. The dude is sick. Reggie Wayne would be a solid pick up and could be a tremendous help to Alex Smith learning more about the game. He won't be cheap but he's not gonna cost you Roddy White, Andre Johnson money either. He's falling off a bit but he's still sick and catches everything. Exactly what the niners need.

And he may want out if they keep messing with Manning. He's not going to want to stick around.

****, I'd take a shot at Peyton if he's ready to go. I am going to 100% believe the Colts cannot ride him on a gamble, they want something solid and worth the cash = Luck

What about Jason Campbell? Not sure if the Raiders will be able to keep him and they put way to much in to Palmer to start Campbell.

Smith is rated 9th/4th in the top qb poll for reg/post season. Sure hes a product of the system but why would we want to chance it with another qb when we already have one that works? And Jason Campbell?!? Am I getting trolled?

I didn't make the QB suggestion. My suggest was QB. The thought was raised by someone else.

As for Campbell... 1100 yards 6TD/3pick/2TD
Smith......... 800 yards 4TD/1pick/1TD

So before campbell's injury he was actually having a better year than Smith... just saying... Don't be a hater if you don't have the facts.

But my suggestion would be to keep with him and get another receiver. Maybe draft a backup/future starter in the draft next year.

Campbell actually had a pretty good season, I wouldn't mind swoopin' that up as some insurance back up. He also played in a system similar to the 49ers, big on the run, and deep *****... ****, he might be more accurate with the deep ball, who knows.
