Question WOW!! is this true? 44-46k for the 2004 STI?!

well ... that's actually in canadians.

they are saying that canadians are getting the STI 2/3 grand cheaper than us.

this is infor from the 'toronto star'

BOTTOM LINE: so basically you could fly up to Vancouver BC with $26k US and buy an STI for 8 grand less then you coudl in the states.

ARE THEY SERIOUS?

IMA BE A CANADIAN DOOD.

Too bad, especially because we won't be able to test the hot Lancer against the arguably hotter STi Impreza, which will definitely be coming to this country, though probably priced in the low-to-mid 40s.

Though it carries the same pink Subaru Technica International logo that other STis do worldwide, it has a different engine: a 2.5 (instead of a 2.0) turbocharged flat-four producing a nice, round 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque.

All-wheel-drive is, of course, standard, as is a six-speed transmission and a limited-slip front differential to help it around corners.

The Impreza has as many spoilers and wings as the Lancer, but one-ups it with what must be the biggest hood scoop (air intake) in history — well, since the muscle-car era, anyway.

It is cheaper to buy in Canada, but you also forgot to mention that you would have to bring your car back to Canada for warranties repair. USA dealers would not honor any warranty repairs if your car is bought in Canada.
