Its not like the re92 is a praised tire and no one was forcing you to use them.

if u want some good rain tires, get the goodyear eagle f1 gsd3. I've had/have them in 16's and 17's and haven't once hydroplaned or slipped in standing water (doing an average speed of 80 on the freeway). They are very stable in the rain.

personally, I would never think of any stock tire as the BEST tire. If you wanted the #1 tires from the dealership, you'd have to be prepared for about another $500-$1000 on the car
