Would you be upset/angry/jealous/envious if a 16-18 year old got an STi?

Well, this has been on my mind for a while. I know a lot of people hate like 16-18 year olds driving nice cars like the STi or even the WRX. People seem to hate the fact that rich parents buy their children cars. How many of you would feel that way? Personally, being 18 myself, I hate seeing my peers with nice cars like Evo's and STi's and 350z's. I feel they don't deserve such a nice car and they'd do stupid things to it, but I am a teenager myself and if I were offered such a nice car I wouldn't refuse it. But I'm sure some of you HATE seeing kids drive nice cars.

Doesn't bother me any. Just wish I had parents that would have brought me something like that... well may be not the Mini I bought for $75 gave me some of the most memorable driving (and non, try getting laid in a Mini ) memories.

There you go.

In a Mini it is a lot more challenging, although you could put a leg out each side window then whind them up kind of like hand cuffs..... Oh memories...

IT'S ALL JEALOUSY.

I seriously doubt that anyone looks at a 16year old w/ a ferrari and worries about public safety or the drivers' safety. Rather they are like "that freaking spoiled brat!"

Who cares what other people think man? Even if you are 30 and get an STI, there will still be import haters calling you a ricer!

I can't complain too much. I was given a 5 year old BMW 325i at 17. it was a 92 but I made it look like a 98. If I'd half a brain when I was younger that car wouldn't have been burning oil at 90k miles and I wouldn't have ripped the rear diff of it's mounts (to this day I don't know how that happened). I know I drove like a damn fool when I was younger. and that car only had 189 hp. If I'd had the 227hp I could well be dead, but who knows, the awd might have kept me on the road.

And for good measure, in two years in my WRX I've had one ticket, no wrecks, and I've oofed in it.

Well I'm getting better responses then I thought, and it jsut shows how mature THIS community is, lol. But yeah, you guys are right, I'm just hella jealous of my friend's friend who's the same age as me who just got an STi. I, right now, drive a Corolla ..1993 that shakes so much if i go over 50...so its keeping me out of trouble. Just gotta wait until 2nd year of college..maybe later, to get a "good" car.
