would you buy a car with 98k on it?
The '95 AWD L has 144k on it and after MPJ/GB did the timingbelt and all the seals, it runs great and doesn't leak/burn a drop of oil.
Expect that since a car is a complicated device containing many complicated parts and systems, that - things will break. My '01 RS is trying to kill me at the moment, but hopefully once I have flushed enough $$ down it - I can just, you know, drive it and stuff. It has 59k miles.

all of this for just oil change every 3k, and two major tune ups, done at 60k and 150k

it was a 93 impreza
and i don't think the major tune ups are considered proper maintenance since they were done waaay into the mileage

yes and no... the thing is these things are so hard to find. I was looking for 00-01, BRP, GM6, 5SPD ONLY. Which narrows down pretty quickly. With that said, the ones I've driven in the past (ones that were for sale) were not as mechanically sound as this one. And even those were gone like hot cakes! It is cheaper than those with low mileage, but higher than I would like. Few things for me to justify the higher cost. It's hard to come by. It's hard to find a good used car (mechanically). If I spend too much time negotiating, someone else would just jump in a buy it. I've experienced all the above and took me 6 months to get this one.
overall, I am very happy and I don't have to do much (mod) with it for a while.

Hopefully since it has higher mileage on it, you can get the price down a little.
