A rally of epic proportions..

sf to vegas, then vegas to so cal and all the way back.

Would any of you homos be interested if i could orginize such an event? It would be as cheap as i can possibly make it and of course as fun as possible. The name of the event will be "The Beater rally" and well you guessed it any and all cheap asses would be welcome to join. Thinking of doing it over a threeday weekend sometime during the early summer. Basicly my ideas is this.

Draw up a route that goes from sf to vegas, in vegas we all meet up at a specefic hotel for party later that night. THen very next morning bright and early we bounce from vegas to la, then possibly stay in la then bounce back to SF for possibly another night of partying.

The last leg from vegas to la or vegas to sf is up in the air. Would like to get some of the so cal guys to meet up in la then follow us up to sf or meet us in vegas and party, then go back to sf.

Anyways if i was to strike it all out on paper would any of you STRAIGHT MALE MEN would be interested in dashing across statelines and screaming down to vegas for an all night party followed by a red eye drive all the way back followed by another "lets get the women around us wasted and naked" party?

Oh and of course you would have to follow all laws, no speeding no having to much fun, and of course no mooning the brit at high speeds.

anyone interested? I am down to organize it all if we can drum up enought interest in the idea. Think of it as a rolling meet powered by redbull, testoserone and of course NNNAAAWWWWZZZZZ..

We would need some kind of radio system so we could talk **** en route.

 

while driving is fun, it sounds like it'd be A LOT of driving - and on mostly straight roads in the middle of the desert. We should rally to Vegas, stay in a cheapy hotel (like the Orleans or Circus Circus) and stay and party for the weekend. The socal guys could come out and we'd have a grand old time.

 

I'd love to do it, but I'm only gonna be 20 in July.. So I can't get drinks legally...

 

I wouldn't worry about that too much - I don't remember getting carded hardly at all when I was in Vegas (though I was of age..but only 22)

Sounds fun, but I have lotsa school, and unless its in like late MAY or something, it will be hard for me to convince the padres to put 1000 miles on the car in a weekend


Oh, and we could probly save on gas if we all draft on those long highway streches....take turns being the leader and all

 

haha all kidding aside i bought the domain www.thebeaterrally.com

and it looks like i have enought interest form teh sbuy community to make it a go. First time around i am going to try and keep it cheap, but not free (free people = problems, plus i could be held liable for any accidents and what not as i am clearly the orgnizaer of an event now). Nothing is set in stone yet, but i see it sort of like this.

Party thursday night in the city, we leave friday morning bright and early, then we start either head to lv or to LA (not sure yet as to which would be more fun). Spend half of sat in LV doing some fun stuff(helo rides, kart racing, clubbing at night then an after party if possible). Leave LV around 3pm head to LA, meet in la party more sat night. Sun morn we head back to sf via 101 (cause it has the purtty vs 5).

Meet up in SF for a dinner/party/awards. Yes awards, thinking if we can get some sponsors in on this we could make the whole ordeal very veyr interesting. I do plan on shooting a video (mischief style but only bettar! cause we all know i have the ownage in being stupid silly)


anyways lots of ideas zipping around in my head, ill keep you guys updated when i get the site up.

 

dre- you should go down to so cal for one of the ITN rallys, that will give you some good ideas for rally format and roads.

They do a So cal to Nevada overnight rally in November or December.

Santa Barbara Sports Car Club used to do an epic overnighter from SB to 'Vegas, it ran for like 30 years, and often had over 100 cars

Good luck getting many folks to come out for it though, apart from a few hardcores in the northbay, almost no one on this board seems to even know what a rally is.

Hrm, I have a feeling this is a very loose interpretation of the term "rally." Sounds more like drive from point A to point B in a semi pack, squeeling tires every opportunity that we can. Dre?
