yes, i agree with Huck. This sounds much more like a drive than a Rally. Unless it's ment to be like the Gunball and we are all racing to the next check point. couldn't be a TRD Rally..

The ITN "Pan Am" or "map based Monte Carlo" format allows creeping, so it often winds up being just that- haul *** untill you see the line of cars crawling along into the CP.
It's hella fun!

They do a So cal to Nevada overnight rally in November or December.
Santa Barbara Sports Car Club used to do an epic overnighter from SB to 'Vegas, it ran for like 30 years, and often had over 100 cars
Good luck getting many folks to come out for it though, apart from a few hardcores in the northbay, almost no one on this board seems to even know what a rally is.

Stole this from the Gumball site. It looks like you might be able to release yourself from any and all liability with some sort of a waiver. I have no idea if this would hold up in a court, but it's a good idea to get signatures anyway, right?
Let's see if I can make this attach.
Edit: $hit, they cut the thing up into a bunch of .gif's. Hadn't realized that. Bastards. Lemme see what I can do.

ya i know, going to get a lawyer to handle that portion of things. First things first drumming up enought interest to do it.
I have a few places in mind for the kick off party in SF, now i need to think about vegas, and LA.
What would be a kick *** event for during the day in vegas? Cant take more then half or 3/4 of the day tho.
I was thinking kart racing or something like that.

Here to 'Vegas is about 9 hours by the fastest route (cruise control on the I-5 really not my idea of a fun "rally")
And seriously, we rarely get more than 5-10 people to come out on a local drive for a few hours, much less a 3-4 day epic, but keep us posted, I'll be interested to see what you can pull together.

No sponsors yet, ill take care of that when it is time. First order of business is getting a site up, i have a rough idea of events and timelines. Once i get a site up i can take in feedback and change things if need be.
