Use Abelton Live or if you have a Mac....Logic is pretty good.

dont get me started...

ive been a user for almost 12 years.

i will just say my otari mtr-100 and any console known to man sound better, and never crash.

Logic pro, please. That and some nice lynx converters and I'm set -- screw the digidesign hardware...except their control surfaces <3

so its not just me then. i have no choice its for a sound class at deanza. It would help a little if he knew what he was talking about....

No, not just you, though if you want to work in the industry you'd better know all about protools.

I'm not trying to be a sound designer or anything similar. I just want to know enough so my student films don't suck *** because of ****ty sound.

if you guys think those LE systems are bad, what till you use HD. Its harder to learn what the errors are, more then to learn how to use it.

I currently have an HD6, with 7 Apogee DA/AD16x's attached to it. Talk about a nightmare.
