for a car to tear apart that bad, they would have to be cookin. And it looks like car was cleaved down the middle, and the force literally slung the engine out of the bay - i doubt the car even had time to deploy anything before it got itself and its occupants deployed all over the forest floor. Needless to say, these people didnt survive - but at least their death was probably pretty quick.
If you look closely you can see that it hit a tree sideways on the passanger side door and was split into two pieces...airbags wouldn't go off on a side collision right??
