wondering when the bay bridge will reopen
#16
No offense but anyone who thinks the bridge being closed is not a complete economic failure, you are tripping. Also try and be considerate of people like me. The bridge may not matter for you (if you are so concerned with going green why not do something about it yourself?) I haven't got to see my bro all week, was suppose to hang out with him. Normally its a short drive but not even worth it now. (he just moved awhile ago from the southbay where I saw him even less). Also many companies like my brothers let people off early and lost friday as a work day due to the bridge, many companies took a productivity hit you can be sure. Less people were going to work this week.

I took bart the other day to go into berkeley, I think the last time I took bart was a few years ago.
From the Embarcadero station in SF, to North Berkeley (round trip) was $7.40........ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING ME?
That's almost 3 gallons of diesel in my truck.....I could drive 50 miles for that. If Bart wants/needs more ridership, they should at least make it financially preferable to driving. The schedule sucks too. oh, and the 'coverage' in SF sucks too.....even if it was cheaper, i still have to drive across the city and park downtown, etc.....what a pita.

"One driver, a suspected carjacker, actually blew past the barricades and led authorities on a pursuit at speeds of over 100 mph across the closed bridge Friday night, a California Highway Patrol officer said"
Lol where the hell was he going haha.
Sucks that the bridge will still remain closed... driving around the peninsula for work has been the ****s since weds morning.
