actually, this has happened before.
my brother is a resident at a LA county hospital and he saw a patient that was 600 lbs. they had to cut the wall of his house to get him out.
and when he got to the hospital he couldn't lay on his back because he couldn't breath that way and so they laid him on his stomach.
his family would come visit and bring candy bars and they would just feed it to him while he "lay" in the icu.
i think it gets to the point where the family doesn't know what to do. and they think that by feeding him whatever he wants is their way of showing love.
it's truly sad tho....

Here's a twist. It turns out she was 7 months pregnant, and when doctors performed an emergency c-section, out popped a 45lb ottoman.

ugh i've heard about that at work before too. they just deficate where they are. it's absolutely disgusting and really has to start from a serious state of depression. but i wonder how her clothes didn't deteriorate and stretched with her? maybe she was just covered by a blanket? how sad.
