... i've got a little problem right now .. .well two problems. im back firing like crazy, and my gas milage has gone to **** ... i had a full tank when i went to gruppe-s for tuning (91 oct from 76) ... and now i have 65 miles total on the tank ... and it's near the half a tank mark ... i pushed it a lil, but i have never seen my gas get this bad before, not even when i was pushing it way hard at hammy last year. ... any ideas?

Theres nothing like dyno tuning to drop your mpg.

I would refill your tank and reset the trip meter and double check.

as far as the material, Im not sure what aspect of it is rated at 2000 degrees, but I would def not put it directly onto 2000 degree pieces, this is the same material they make turbo wrap out of (prolly the 2000 degree part) but its the adhesive backed version, this adhesive is def not good to 2K degrees!

I have the same stuff on my intercooler pipe and bottom of the turbo heatshield. The only problem I have with it, is that it looses it sticky and needs to be pushed back on from time to time.

I purchased it online at hrpworld.com

Henry, I recall your car being a little less than full on the dyno mate. You might want to run through this tank of gas and then check again. With regards to the back firing I suspect when you lift off the throttle. If that's the case you might want to take off that HKS SSQ and go back to a recirc BOV as recommended.
