Wipers?

Since its the rainy season, just curious to see what wipers everyone is using. Has anyone used the rain-x ones? It's time for the upgrade and want some opinions.

So far I've been using the stock wipers from a corolla/camry. They're contoured blades with a metal skeleton, which is also contoured, so it isn't as "flimsy" as the other blades that are just all wipers. We bought a new corolla a while back and I just swapped the beat up wiper blades onto the corolla and took the brand new wiper blades from the corolla and put them on the other car. Went back to the toyota dealer during our free oil changes and the tech's replaced the beat up blades with brand new ones lol(negotiated that the corolla OTD price would include 6 free oil changes and 30k mile service) .

try to get the contoured blades because those seem to wipe the best

2008 STi aero wipers FTW!!! Seriously better than any aftermarket wiper I've ever used.

I love doing that and all the other drivers look at you funny because your passing them up with no wipers on and they have theirs at the fastest setting. hahaha.

I need to pick up some new wipers for both my WRX and Jetta. My WRX wipers just move the water back and forth (more like pushing it back and forth not wiping it off the windshield) and the Jetta's are just falling apart (top half on one wiper is 80% disconnected so it just flaps in the wind). So its good to hear what others are using.

Has anyone tried the Rain X anti-fog stuff? Suppose to put it on the inside of the windows and it supposedly prevents the windows from fogging up. Curious if it actually works cause my windshield blows donkey *****. Fogs up so easy I have to have the defrost on 75% of the time I'm driving.

I use the anti-fog stuff. It works, ever since I have put it on, my car has not fogged up once.

Aquapel works good too, just like Rain-X. Lasts longer than Rain-X,IMO.
True about the older style wipers with frames being better. I'm trying on those new Bosch ones right now and they have about an inch of void right at the tips. They don't seem to be pressing down in that area.

Our STi does the same thing so I'm going to add this soon. I have used this in the past and was happy with results. Just found my RainX, going to apply it soon. My windows on the Cobra were fogged up Thursday night but the defrost worked quick and didn't have to keep it on unlike the STi.
