anyone know of a windshield repair place in the east bay? preferably around the berkeley/richmond/oakland area. i was driving down 580 this morning and a car flung a rock hitting my windshield, and put a small round crack on it (about the size of a dime or smaller).

i am not looking to replace it if i don't have to so any place that can repair it would be great. also, anyone have a roundabout idea of how much this would cost? i heard anywhere from $20 to $50 but i haven't called anywhere yet to verify this.

I've only used safelite and they're not cheap, I think it was around $100 for a crack repair and cost me a lot more for a replacement windshield for my wrx.

 

How about do it yourself. A repair kit from autozone served me well for a small round crack. It has been two year since the repair without an issue.
