so im under AAA and i recently got a rock chip on my windshield. i was wondering if you guys know of any good places that does repairs. i believe this claim would be under comprehensive and there isnt a deductible involved but i am not sure if it affects the overall insurance rate. any advice is appreciated. tia.

 

They'll tell YOU what company/shop is on their list for glass (comprehensive) claims. So just call & ask.

 

i usually go to Absolute auto glass in Santa cruz. Rock chips usually are anywhere from $60-$80? without insurance, you prolly wont even need to make a claim. If it starts cracking and is bigger than like a dollar bill. U'd probably have to go get it replaced, and should make a claim. I got my windsheild replaced and made a claim. Only had to pay $100? Didn't affect my insurance rates at all. Just shop around and if u need more info call AAA. ^^

I got my windshield replaced a few months ago. Called insurance and they gave me the # to a glass place. They came out to my work and fixed it on the spot.

 

i understand that they give you a list of places but i was wondering if there was one that is better than another.
